What conditions does eyelid surgery treat?
Eyelid surgery covers a very broad spectrum: we can correct eyelid malpositions, treat age-related changes such as drooping eyelids, or remove tumours in the eyelid area.

Surgery
Almost all eyelid procedures are performed on an outpatient basis.
For minor eyelid procedures, I usually use a laser device—on site in my practice. I carry out larger eyelid procedures in a hospital where I am an accredited attending physician. If the situation is complex, I work closely with respected plastic surgeons and eyelid specialists to achieve the very best result.
After surgery
Minor eyelid procedures without sutures do not require any follow-up examinations.
In the case of more extensive procedures, I remove the dressing on the following day. You should also have a cold compress ready for your eyelids to reduce the swelling that usually occurs. Depending on the type of sutures used, I remove them after one or two weeks.

Eyelid surgery
The costs of eyelid surgery are usually covered by health insurance. In the case of upper eyelid surgery (‘hooded eyelids’), however, a cost consultation must be carried out with us beforehand. The measurements required for this are taken in our practice. The decision then lies with the health insurance company.
